Amber Used to Cry a Lot After Enduring a Lot of Pain BUT Now She Truly The Pride of Her Family.
Full of love and compassion, the animal rescuer discovered Amber this morning in a ditch in Lancaster County, South Carolina. This beautiful tabby cat had been the victim of terrible cruelty.
Amber’s face was a heartbreaking collage of wounds, infected beyond belief, in dire need of reconstructive surgery. Her shattered nasal passage made it difficult for her to breathe, a product of the horrors she had gone through. Furthermore, her damaged jaw and misaligned teeth added more suffering to her tragic story, with her shattered nose, once whole, now shattered.
Amber’s severe injuries required the medical team to keep her sedated to perform a CT scan, an unusual level of trauma for them. Although she was only two years old, the brave cat showed a history of previous suffering, despite her fragile condition and acute malnutrition.
For five days, Amber was sedated as dedicated professionals worked tirelessly to give her a new chance at life. Now, with her face repaired and her nasal passages new, thanks to tireless dedication, the swelling on her face acts as a witness to her past tragedy.
Through it all, Amber’s charming personality remained intact, a symbol of her strength in the face of adversity. She shows tremendous courage and love during her healing process, facing heartworm treatment and sterilization with fortitude.
Enjoying the fun after a hearty dinner, he finally snuggles into his blanket for a well-deserved rest. Today, under the warm sun, she goes for a walk through her new neighborhood in the company of her new siblings, Jack and Alice, showing that she has found comfort and security in her new home.
