For some, beauty is relative and that is why this little dog ‘s rescuer couldn’t leave him alone when she realized how special the little one was.
Her name is Kaley Carlyle, a young woman who has dedicated herself to independent animal rescue for more than 10 years, but claims she has never seen a dog like the one in this story. We hadn’t really known of a similar hound either.
This little dog has unusual features and a charming personality.
Kaliey learned about the dog’s life from a stranger who contacted her to ask for help. The man had a different puppy in his possession and wanted to know if the girl could raise him.
Like different opportunities, the young woman could not refuse and thought about rescuing him and then giving him up for adoption , but the furry boy stole her heart.
Kaliey didn’t want the poor little dog to be rejected because of his appearance .
The first time she saw him she was surprised, she had never seen a dog with such small eyes. But it wasn’t just that, but his mouth and teeth were larger than usual. Kaliey has helped furry dogs of different breeds and mixes, but never one like the one she held in her arms.
Moved by the puppy ‘s innocence , the young woman decided to protect him like a true son and named him Chupacabra because of his resemblance to that mysterious and traditional creature of Mexican culture.
Although she really calls him Chupei.
The little dog has almost no fur and its ears remain constantly curved, but the most unique thing about the animal is its smile. His mouth and teeth are so large that they stand out to the naked eye and it gives the impression that Chupei is always smiling.
That particularity has stolen Kaliey’s heart, who does not doubt that the little dog really smiles in the moments when he is truly happy.
She knows it every time they play and the little one bats his tail hard.
Worried that the dog’s appearance might have some kind of health problem behind it, Kaliey took him to see the veterinarian.
Fortunately, everything was going well with the puppy and there the young woman learned that her particular appearance was due to a genetic alteration. Chupei was born with an extra chromosome that caused certain physical alterations, but did not alter her spirit.
From a very young age, the little dog has shown to have a big heart and a lot of energy.
In Chupei not only his smile shines, but also his little eyes.
