We all know how much mother dogs are willing to sacrifice for their puppies. Their determination to help their children is truly amazing.
When rescuers were informed about a stray dog living on the streets after giving birth, they wasted no time.
They went to the area and tried to find the frightened animal, only to be shocked by what happened next.
She had just given birth to her puppies and was trying to protect them. When her rescuers tried to approach her, she became very agitated and was unsure if they were hurting them.
So they went back to their car for some treats and then drove around again to feed the dog. She was really reluctant but eventually accepted the food because she was hungry.
Finally, they were able to get a look at the puppies. They didn’t seem to be doing well and needed help immediately.
The rescuers tried to pet the mother dog to help her realize they were only there to help her and the babies.
Upon doing so, they noticed a small strap around its neck, meaning it had likely had an owner before, but was abandoned.
After finally getting her to relax, they took her away from the puppies so they could try to help them.
After seeing her babies in horrible conditions, she began licking them and looking at humans as if she was asking them to do something.
However, things took a dark turn after rescuers realized that four of the five puppies had died and only one had barely managed to survive.
Their mother was visibly distressed and was desperately trying to wake them up, but in vain.
The rescuers were incredibly sad that they couldn’t do anything to help. They took the mother dog and the puppies, even though they knew it was over.
After taking them to a shelter, they buried the four babies and did everything they could to help the mother and her last surviving child.
They weren’t in great health, but they were slowly recovering, and it seemed like things were looking up a bit for a change.
The next day, rescuers received two new puppies that were orphaned and now needed someone to care for them. They brought them to the mother dog to see if she would help them.
She was a little confused at first, but she gladly accepted them and nursed them back to health, like the heroic dog that she is.
While we have no information on what happened to the puppies, it will still be a while before they are old enough to be adopted, and there is no doubt that they will find a home.
